This project was inspired after listening to one of my very favorite artists. The focus of this poster from the beginning was the typography. We had to create something dynamic with the type before we could add anything else. Using this method to create a poster design really helped in learning how typography should be treated with as much thought as anything else within design. Within the type I tried to represent the angular feel of Red Rocks before I included any of the graphics. My goal was to show all of the information and make sure the poster had a strong hierarchy. I was limited to three different sizes for the type. This created an interesting challenge that I later could change a little by use of color, which was inspired by Red Rocks and sound waves.
